Cooling Fan SoC ASICs

One Chip. Complete Single-Phase BLDC Fan Control.

The inergy iT-series integrates key motor-control functions into a compact package, simplifying single-phase BLDC fan design and reducing external component requirements. Depending on the device, integration includes a Hall sensor or Hall input, an N+N MOSFET H-bridge, speed control, and comprehensive protection functions. Configure the speed curve, lead angle, and start-up parameters through OTP programming with inergy's iNGUI software.

Simplify your design. Configure your control. Accelerate development.

How a single-phase fan commutates

The Hall signal decides which diagonal of the H-bridge conducts. PWM sets the speed, and FG reports it back to the system. Try a stall to watch lock protection shut the outputs and retry. The lab loads the IC you picked above.
